La Academia Latina de la Grabación® anunció hoy que el artista Issac Delgado obtuvo tres nominaciones al premio Grammy por su produccion Asi Soy (Machete Music/Universal Latin Entertainment) las cuales son, “Mejor Album de Salsa”, “Mejor Cancion Tropical” (“No Vale La Pena” [Alberto Gaitan & Ricardo Gaitan]) y junto a Sergio George y Jose Lugo, “Productor del  Año”. 

La 10ª entrega anual del Latín Grammy, será televisada en vivo el 5 de noviembre por Univisión desde el Mandalay Bay Events Center en Las Vegas. 

Acerca Issac Delgado

Reconozido como un verdadero innovador, Issac es el cantante cubano más renombrado de su generación. Un Incansable  creador e impecable estilista, Delgado ha transformado la música cubama moderna bailable, siempre respetando  sus tradiciones fundamentales. 

Frustrado por las restricciones en Cuba,  traveso´ con su familia la frontera  con Mejico de los Estados Unidos para lanzar una nueva fase de su carrera.  "Estár aquí no me da ningún control más grande sobre las cosas, como si puedo conseguir la radio para tocar mis canciones o no”, Delgado le dijo al Los Angeles Times. "Yo, soy lo único que puedo controlar y mi sentimiento de trabajar y exponer mi música un poco más al público, el cual tendrá la última palabra. Ese´ es el censor más fuerte que un artista puede tener—el público que escucha su música".

Su primer lanzamineto en EEUU del 2007,  En Primera Plana, le gano a  Delgado aclamación global, inclusivo tres nominaciones del Grammy Latino y el hit sensillo "La Mujer Que Mas Te Duele" que subió al tercer lugar en los  Billboard Latin Charts.

Hailed as a true innovator, Issac is the most renowned Cuban singer of his generation.  Both a tireless creator and an impeccable stylist, Delgado has transformed modern Cuban dance music while respecting its storied traditions.

Frustrated by restrictions in Cuba, he walked across the Mexican-U.S. border with his family to launch a new phase of his career. “Being here doesn’t give me any greater control over things, such as whether I can get the radio to play my songs or not, “ Delgado told the Los Angeles Times. “The only thing I can control is myself and my willingness to work and expose my music a little more to the public, which will have the last word. That’s the biggest censor an artist can have—the public that listens to your music.”

His first release in the U.S., 2007’s En Ultima Plana, earned Delgado global acclaim, including three Latin Grammy nominations, and the hit single “La Mujer Que Mas Te Duele” (featuring Victor Manuelle). The song rose to number three on the Billboard Latin Charts.

Of his latest release, Asi Soy Delgado says: “In sonority, this recording is still Cuban salsa, with Cuban color, but with a sound closer to—and for—the USA Latin American, in New York, L.A., and Puerto Rico.” Produced again by multiple Grammy-winner Sergio George (Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, Jerry Rivera) and the other giant of the Puerto Rican salsa sound, Jose Lugo, (Gilberto Santa Rosa's long-time musical director and producer), confirming his ongoing stature as “the future of tropical music (Los Angeles Times).
